General Information
When buying vehicle accessories, pay attention to high quality. Inferior balance weights may, for example, easily be released while driving and cause consequential damage. Always use the goods you can rely on.
Aluminum rims: how much balancing weights are tolerable? As a rule, only one balancing weight should be placed on the inside and outside.
How do I remove the balancing weights, including adhesive residues in the rims without residue? Use plastic scraper and, if necessary, eraser. There are also special cleaning agents available.
Attaching clay weights
- Clean the rim thoroughly. The rim must be dry, free of adhesive residue, grease or silicone.
- Before you apply the adhesive seal, this must be pre-bent.
- To do this, briefly press the adhesive seal incl. the protective foil against the radius of the rim to take on its shape. Then peel off the protective film and attach the pre-bent adhesive seal to the cleaned area on the rim.
- When attaching, be careful not to touch the adhesive surface with your hand. It is also important that you attach the weight evenly from the center to the outside.
